Useful tips for successful Blogging

A lot of blogger have been searching fr ways of making good income from blogs but the opportunity has come for me to share my experiences with bloggers. This tips will help in separating good blogs from bad ones.

Highlighted below are some of the useful tips that will make your blog a want to read one:

a. Selecting of Niche for your blog: Areas such as health, sports, computer programming, internet,fashion, etc.;

b. Insert about me section in your blog: The more your visitor know you the better their confidence in wanting to read from you.

c. Brevity: Make sure you drive your point home without use of many words. Keep it short and simple.

d. Adopt "Read More" style: If you have a lengthy post you can break the post into bits and insert read more at the end of the post linking the next post in the order.

e. Use links in your post: Links increase traffic to your blog and it make people or bloggers know you are writing about them.

f. Make your ideas visual: Break up text with visuals such as graphs, charts, photos,block-quotes and videos. If you have visuals from any other source link it back to that source.

g. Adopt Self explanatory headings: Avoid ambiguous and confusing headlines/titles. you can entice your visitors with rhetorical questions or exclamation as the case may be.

h. Archive your blog by topic: Endeavour to archive your posts by topics rather than date. If possible include a search feature in your archives to help your visitors especially when you have a good numbers of blogs.

i. Allow Comments: Blogs are seen sometimes as a form of dialogue, so allow your visitor to respond or comments on your contents.

j. Include a list of related posts on every post: Avail all your visitors the opportunity of going to other sites/blogs that have similar information through your related post feature.

k. Be Original: Most readers enjoy innovation and creativity on the part of the writer. try to be yourself and always pass your personal opinion across in a way that will appeal to your visitor.

l. Avoid posting anything confidential: A blog can be regarded as necessary evil as it can be very useful tool(asset) and can be liability depending on the information you posted on it. Don't allow what you post on your blog to get you dooced.

m. Do Post regularly: Blogging daily, every few days or every week will boast your blogging experience. It will also allow you to build a huge number of readers around you.
